I. Overview
Tianjin University offers the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program (YES) under the Chinese Government Scholarship to train talented professionals with broad global perspectives, exceptional qualities, leadership skills, and cross-cultural experience. This program includes three master’s degree courses taught in English:
- Civil Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Business Administration
II. Program Details
- Duration: 2 years
- Medium: English
Program Structure:
- Year 1: Attend courses, conduct research, and prepare your thesis at Tianjin University.
- Year 2: Continue research and thesis work in your home country, based on your experience and field of study. You’ll work under your supervisor's guidance.
- Thesis Defense: The defense can be conducted online.
Once you meet the graduation and thesis requirements, you will be awarded a master’s degree and a graduation certificate from Tianjin University.
III. Scholarship Benefits
This is a fully-funded scholarship, covering all major expenses.
IV. Who Can Apply?
Citizenship: Non-Chinese nationals with a valid passport.
Age & Health: Must be under 45 years old and in good physical and mental health.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant educational or professional backgrounds.
Eligible Applicants:
- Government employees (at leadership levels in their departments or equivalents).
- Senior executives in companies or institutions.
- University or research institution administrators.
- Professionals with international internships or work experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Fulfill the admission criteria for Tianjin University’s master’s programs in 2025.
- Secure a Pre-admission Letter from Tianjin University.
V. How to Apply
Step 1: Apply for Pre-admission at Tianjin University
- Visit the Tianjin University International Student System at tju.at0086.cn/student.
- Register, log in, and fill out the application form.
- Upload all required documents.

Step 2: Apply for the Scholarship
- After receiving the Pre-admission Letter, register on the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
- Submit your application materials by April 30, 2025.
- Select the scholarship type as “Type A” and use the agency code 1563.
- Choose the program: “Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship.”
VI. Selection Process
- The China Scholarship Council will review all applications.
- Final admission decisions will be made after expert evaluations by the council.
