I. About the Program
The Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) High-Level Postgraduate Program is sponsored by the Ministry of Education in China. It supports exceptional master's and doctoral students pursuing studies in China. NJUST offers full scholarships, which include:
- Tuition Fees: Fully covered.
- Accommodation: Free on-campus housing.
- Living Allowance:
- Master’s students: RMB 3,000/month
- Doctoral students: RMB 3,500/month
- Medical Insurance: Comprehensive coverage worth RMB 800/year.
- Program Duration:
- Master’s programs: 3 years
- Doctoral programs: 4 years
II. Available Programs and Majors
Programs: Full-time Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
Fields: Wide-ranging subjects, including engineering, science, management, and humanities.
III. Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and must follow Chinese laws and regulations.
- Academic Background and Age:
- Master’s: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, under 35 years old.
- Doctoral: Master’s degree or equivalent, under 40 years old.
- Language Proficiency:
- For programs taught in Chinese: HSK Level 4 or higher.
- For programs taught in English: TOEFL ≥ 85, IELTS ≥ 6.0, or Duolingo ≥ 105. Native English speakers are exempt.
IV. How to Apply

Required Documents
Prepare and upload the following:- CSC Application Form (Chinese/English).
- Valid passport (valid for at least 12 months).
- Academic certificates and transcripts (notarized if needed).
- Language proficiency certificates.
- Study plan/research proposal (1,000+ words).
- Two recommendation letters from professors.
- Physical Examination Form.
- Non-criminal record certificate.
- Financial proof.
- Supporting documents like publications or awards.

V. Selection Process
Evaluation Criteria
Applicants are assessed based on:- Academic Background (30-40%): Previous education, academic achievements, and institution reputation.
- Research Potential (30-40%): Quality of research, publications, and proposal feasibility.
- Future Potential (20-30%): Recommendation letters, interviews, and career goals.
Steps in Evaluation
- Preliminary Review: Check of submitted documents.
- Academic Assessment: Evaluation by a review panel.
- Interview: Conducted online via ZOOM or Tencent Meeting.

VI. Application Fee
